App Terms

Using Pantry

Pantry helps you organise shared shopping lists, kitchen stock, food dates, meal plans, recipes and optional NFC shortcuts. By using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Apple's platform and TestFlight terms, and the terms of any sign-in service you choose, also apply to those services.

Accounts and shared households

Use a sign-in method and email address you control. Keep access secure and never share sign-in links. You are responsible for information you contribute and must have permission to upload an image or other content.

Household members can use the invitation features available to their role. Owners have additional membership and ownership controls, including removing members and following the in-app ownership-transfer and deletion rules. Share invitations only with intended members. Lists, stock, recipes, meal plans and shared profile choices are visible to the household's members.

Fair use and your content

Do not use Pantry for unlawful, abusive or harmful content, impersonate others, access a household without permission, misuse private codes, defeat access controls or overload the service. Reasonable usage and security limits may apply. Access may be restricted where reasonably necessary to protect people or the service.

You keep the rights you have in content you provide. You give us permission to store, process and display it as needed to provide Pantry, including to the household members you share it with. This does not give us ownership of your content.

Stock, food dates and recipes

Pantry relies on details and updates supplied by users. It does not automatically detect what has been used or guarantee that the stock list is complete or current. Update items when you use, buy or discard them.

Dates, reminders, suggested meals and recipes are organisational aids. Pantry does not inspect food or provide food-safety, allergy, dietary or medical advice. Check packaging, use-by dates, ingredients and storage instructions yourself. An app reminder, or the absence of one, is not proof that food is safe to eat.

Check receipt recognition and barcode lookup results before saving. Product information may be incomplete, outdated or incorrect. Serving adjustments and suggestions need your review.

NFC, sharing and reminders

NFC tags are optional shortcuts. They require a compatible device, a prepared Pantry tag and deliberate action by the user. Background opening depends on the device and iOS state, including tapping a notification or unlocking when requested. A tag assignment can change without rewriting the tag; check that it performs the intended action.

Sharing requires connectivity. Offline changes may be queued, delayed or need review before they are shared. Notifications, widgets and Live Activities depend on permissions, cached information and platform behaviour. An immediate update or delivery of every reminder cannot be guaranteed.

Beta testing and availability

Pantry is being developed and tested. Test builds may change, contain errors, expire or become unavailable. Features vary by build and device. Keep the app updated, review synchronisation status and report problems.

We aim to maintain the service but cannot promise uninterrupted availability. Features may change or be discontinued. Where practicable, notice will be given of material changes affecting your use.

Payments and physical tags

Current Pantry Beta preview access does not start a paid subscription. Proposed prices or demonstrations are not an active renewal or purchase offer. If paid app features are introduced, their price, billing period, included features and cancellation or renewal conditions will be shown before you decide to buy.

Pantry NFC tags are currently being prototyped and are not available to order. When physical products become available, the website will show their price, shipping and returns information before purchase. Nothing in these terms commits you to a future purchase.

Leaving and account deletion

You can sign out, leave a household subject to ownership rules, or request account deletion from your profile. Deleting the app alone does not delete your account. Shared household content may remain for other members after you leave or delete your account. Read the deletion steps and the privacy notice's retention information.

Responsibility and your rights

Use Pantry with reasonable care and independently check important information. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence, or removes statutory consumer rights.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses caused by misuse, information supplied by other users or events outside our reasonable control. These terms do not limit rights under mandatory law in the place you live.

Changes and contact
