Back to Pantry

The Pantry app

From “we need milk”
to “dinner’s ready”.

Start with your next shopping list. Then bring your kitchen stock, favourite meals and the small jobs around them together at your own pace.

with a place for each one.

The everyday essentials

Everything for the next shop.

Add something when you notice it, keep useful quantities alongside it, and take one clear list to the shop.

Bread, bananas, toilet paper — a home has more than one kind of essential.

A little focus for the food shop.

Open Shopping mode and work through what you need. Tick things off as they go into the basket, then put your purchases away in Pantry.

A simpler view when you’re walking the aisles.

Remember what’s already there.

Keep a useful record of your fridge, freezer and cupboards. Add dates when they help, and bring the things that need attention back into view.

Stock reflects what you add and update. Dates are reminders, not a food-safety assessment.

What could we make tonight?

Keep your favourites together and see how they fit the stock you’ve recorded. Check the amounts and missing ingredients, then choose dinner.

Recipes and meal planning are part of the current Pantry Plus beta.

A little less typing.

Start with a product barcode, a receipt or a manual entry. Check the details before adding them, so your stock stays useful.

Scanning is part of the current Pantry Plus beta experience. You stay in control of what gets added.

Give the week a little shape.

Choose breakfast, lunch and dinner from your saved recipes. Keep a plan that makes sense for the two of you — or just for you.

The current Plus beta includes meal planning. You choose and save the meals.

Meal ideas that fit your kitchen.

Start with the food you’ve recorded, the equipment in your kitchen and what you want to cook.

01 · Your table

Who’s joining you?

Choose how many people are eating and whether you are happy to have leftovers. Pantry keeps the publisher’s original recipe portions clear.

02 · Your kind of cooking

Make it fit.

Set your household’s cooking equipment, then choose time, servings and dietary preferences to help narrow the options. A quick dinner for two can start with what works for you.

03 · A meal to look forward to

Choose what sounds good.

Browse matching recipes and open one that appeals. Check the ingredients and method, then choose whether to add it to your meal plan.

A small start is enough

Start with your next shop.

You don’t need to catalogue the whole kitchen. Start with the few things that make this week easier.

  1. Make yourself at Home.

Install the beta through TestFlight, sign in and create your Home. Pantry works for one person or a shared household.

  2. Add what you need next.

Milk, bread, a few dinner bits. Put them on your list and tick them off in Shopping mode.

  3. Bring your person along.

If you share your home, invite someone from Household. They sign in and accept your invitation to use the same list. You can keep Pantry just for yourself, too.

Stock can follow when it helps. Record a few fridge or cupboard staples and optional dates; update them as you use things.
